Dallas, Texas

December 1, 1996 Garbage was in town opening for the Smashing Pumpkins. The band put on a fast and powerful set. Only playing for less then an hour they left me wanting more. At this show Garbage showed what an amazing live band they are. The way they mixed live instruments with samples and loops took my by surprise.

The Version 2.0 tour hit Dallas on October 15, 1998. This would be the first of three shows Garbage would play in Dallas in 18 months. From the second the band hit the stage to the time it was over. The band played an amazing set. This show was pretty special to me since I had gotten "Meet & Greet" passes through the fan club. This show did not have any moments in it that stood out. Shirley was working the crowd into a frenzy as she always does. The guys just played hard and fast making the crowd frenzy even more intense. This show was broadcast over the internet. I managed to get a copy of the show a few days later.  I was never able to find video of this show though.

March 17, 1999 Garbage returned to Dallas this  show marked the second time Garbage played Dallas on the Version 2.0 tour. They were in town opening for Alanis Morissette. Shirley had her arm in a sling that did not stop her from delivering an amazing performance. I was pretty happy with my seats at this show I was on the 10 row in front of Duke. I also had "Meet & Greet" passes for this show courtesy of Shirley. I did not take photos of the band performance but I did manage to get my hands on the video of the show. They sang Happy Birthday to Steve during the show. Shirley for some reason was chasing Steve around the stage. She is known to mess with him at shows but for some reason she was really playing with Steve during this show.

The Mtv Campus Invasion Tour November 16, 1999. The band came through for a third time in 18 months. This tour was the last leg of the Version 2.0 tour. The band was playing "The World Is Not Enough" & "Silence Is Golden" on this tour along with "Supervixen" which was nice to hear live again. I managed to get myself front row and center for this show. I gave Shirley my license plate that says "VRSN 2.0" at this show. This show was a really good one and showed what a powerful live band Garbage is. The way the band interacted with the crowd during this show was really impressive. It was also interesting to see the band open the show on a slow song. They opened this show with "#1 Crush".

Garbage played an amazing show in Dallas on May 17, 2002. The show was one of there best. The set design and lighting were amazing. The band hit the stage to purple and deep blue lighting. Highlighted by colorful designs in the background. They played an amazing set with songs taken from all three albums. Then things started to fall apart. First Shirley managed to rip her pants leaving the guys to take control of the stage. Upon Shirley's return to the stage the band continued to amaze the crowd and deliver an intense set. Suddenly Steve's side of the stage went dark and silent. Apparently a car had run into the power transformer in the parking lot knocking out power to Steve's side of the stage out. Even with all the technical problem that the band was having that night. The show was one of there best performances.

Garbage returned to Dallas, Texas on November 4, 2002. They were opening for No Doubt. The band only played for about 45 minutes. The band seemed more relaxed this time around. It was a surprise to see Shirley wearing her boa on stage. Only to give to a fan in the crowd.  For this show I was in the pit on the front row directly in front of Steve. I caught one of his guitar picks that the tossed into the crowd. After the show Steve handed me a piece of tape with about six guitar picks on it.  I gave Shirley my "GARBGE" license plate during this show. I really noticed that the band seemed to be full of energy on this leg of the tour.
