I grew tired of buying guitars that were close to what I wanted but just never exactly what I wanted. So I started to modify my guitars to be more how I saw them in my head. The problem is that if you want them in a specific color from the manufacture you are looking at custom shop guitars that are just plain expensive.

There are a few things you can do to spice up your guitar. One is to change control knobs or the pick guards. This can be done fairly cheap around $50 for a good custom pick guard. A more expensive option is to have custom inlays added to the guitar.

Over the years I have found what I consider to be a select group of craftsman who can take your guitar and make it that custom dream machine you have in your head.
