This guitar has an interesting history. It was given away by Rolling Stone magazine on Garbages 1998 tour. It was an online contest. The contest had a few trivia questions and I answered them. A few days later the contest had the answers as multiple choice. I did not win the contest. I always felt the guitar should be mine.
About a year later it showed up on ebay. The girl who originally won it sold it to a guitar store where I bought it. The autographs were really worn down. A few emails later and the band was agreeable to resign it for me. I buffed out the remaining autographs and shipped it up to Smart Studios. I ran the serial number through Fender and they said the guitar was made in 1997. I find it hard to believe I have had this guitar for almost 10 years now. I rarely play this guitar but when I do it sounds just amazing. I have it set up and tuned a half step down.
