Is / Isn't |
| This guitar is a standard Ibanez RG2 EX 1. This guitar is
named the Is/Isn't because it has no volume or tone knobs. The only
controls are a pick up selector and a switch that either turns it on or
off hence the name Is/Isn't. The guitar is pretty much the same as the
Disco Disaster RG2 EX 2 but it had a nicer binding and a sliver reflective
logo.
The design for this guitar was to originally cover it in news paper when this was originally done it really looked bad. The second idea was to just start sanding off the factory paint and creating some kind of random pattern with the remaining paint. I then had vinyl decals made of my initials and a star made. These were adhered to the guitar and then clear coat. One of the coolest features of this guitar is the switch that turns it on and off. The switch has an LED inside of it. When the guitar is plugged in the switch will light up green. When the cable is removed the light goes off. The switch was installed and wired up to the battery and pickups by Guitar Slinger in Richardson, Texas. The original bridge pick up was removed and replaced with a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker. FYI I hate this pick up and plan on replacing it. The clear coat was done by Roadrunner Paint & Body in Richardson, Texas. IT is a standard poly clear coat with pearl.
