One of my favorites a 1964 Regal R-230. I bought this guitar from a friend of mine named Ralph he bought the guitar new in 1964 and had it in his shop pretty much ever since. It is a really cool old guitar. It has that old sound kind of tinny but plays just great. I have no plans to modify this guitar as it is perfect the way it is. It has 44 years worth of wear and tear and just looks cool. I was originally using D'Addario Bronze Phosphor strings on it. I switched to D'Addario EXP 80/20 and that warmed it up. The guitar does not have its original bridge. It was damaged when I bought it and was damaged beyond repair so I had a new bridge made for it.
It was hard to date this guitar it has a couple stamps inside it that say 64-S according to research 64=1964 the S means either summer or second part of the year.
