A very BIG THANK YOU goes out to Steve
& Duke for arranging the tour of Smart Studios for me. On 02.15.03 I was given a walk through of Smart
Studios. The studio is a red brick building on the corner of East Washington.
As your walk in the door in (which is on the side in the back) you are greeted by
several album awards. They can be seen in the first picture. As you go to the left
you can either go up the stairs or through a door and into Studio "A". At the top
of the stairs is the Beautiful Garbage Australian Award & Smashing Pumpkins Award. At
the top of the stairs is a lounge and the ISO booth. Past the ISO booth is Studio
"B" .
As a fan it was really cool to get to stand in the same rooms where three of my favorite albums were created. Also to be in the same rooms with all the history that has occurred and where some amazing music was conceived, written and recorded. I did get to go through Studio "A" and check it out. I did not take any pictures in there cause a band was recording. It was an amazing experience. |
